Length: 1-2 years, followed by assistant professorship

Comments: “We are broadly searching for scholars who theoretically and/or empirically explore the interaction of race and capitalism.  The work could be focused on a historical period such as that of slavery; a specific institution such as the workplace; on concepts such as labor, credit, finance; on a specific theoretical question such as the meaning of justice in the context of communities that are affected by high levels of economic and racial inequality; or a particular empirical problem such as shifting participation rates by race and ethnicity in various sectors of the deindustrialized U.S.” “ The appointment would be based in the Anthropology, Political Science or Sociology department.
