Comments: “The department is looking for a candidate to teach French language courses across the curriculum, coordinate multi-section courses, teach upper-division courses in French for the major focusing on Francophone Studies, and teach courses in English in related fields as needed in other departments and programs, such as Africana Studies, History, and Women’s and Gender Studies.   Candidates must hold a PhD in French with a focus on Francophone culture, film, and literature.  Area of specialization is open and could include colonial/postcolonial studies, Caribbean Studies, Francophone Africa.  ABD candidates will be considered as well.”
